August Goals


I cannot believe how fast the summer is flying by! Only one month until Francis is back to school.

I'm thankful that life is made up of seasons! Though I love summer - the warmer air, bike rides, and vacation vibes, I may just be getting to the point where I'm craving the structure that Fall brings!

If I'm being honest, the beginning of July started out rocky. I was ill for about two weeks and had multiple trips to the ER. The rest of the month felt like I was just trying to catch up on everything after being sick.

August is a busy month with work, a trip to Quebec City, and two weddings. I'm reminding myself to relax and enjoy this life, to just breathe, and as Emily P. Freeman would say, to focus on the next right thing.


July Goals Recap:


  • Ride my new bicycle at least 4 times - 3 out of 4!

  • Write and mail 2 note cards - Done! 

  • Continue ingraining my morning routine (waking up at latest 6:30, morning journaling, bible/prayer, and reading) - Mostly! I let myself sleep when needed.

  • Organize the bathroom closet - Yes!

  • Make a pie - Did not do.

  • Go to coffee with a friend - Yes!

  • Read WomanCode by Alisa Vitti - Yes!


  • Post 6 times on the blog - Only 3 out of 6, but still calling it a win as it’s an improvement! 

  • Prep blog posts for next month - Progress!

  • Start designing my new note card designs - Did not do.

  • Complete a brand Identity project I’m excited to share - Yes!

  • Complete a welcome guide for my clients - Did not do.

  • Read Launch by Jeff Walker  - Yes!


My August Goals:


  • Consistently wake up at 6:30

  • Make a pie

  • Go to coffee with a friend

  • Run 3x per week

  • Read The Glass Castle and It’s Not Suppose to be This Way


  • Post 8 times on the blog

  • Start designing my new note card designs

  • Complete a welcome guide for my clients

  • Read The Magnolia Story
